TH02-13: My favorite candy

Do you like candy? I like it very much. I eat candy when I am hungry or I want to eat something. Totally, I like candies in anything, especially I have my favorite candy. I introduce about it today. My favorite candy is plum candy. It call “Koume” in Japanese. The package is red and pink. It is so cute. And Koume-chan is printed in the package. She is Japanese girl and she put on Kimono. You know, it is Japanese candy. I knew it when I was child. When I ate it first, I felt sweet and delicious. After that, I often eat it. Also I recommend it to my friends, because I want my friends to know the candy. I like it, because “Haiku” is printed to the back print. It has a deep sense I think. I also think that Japanese Haiku is interesting. I introduce about part of it.

E02-05: Romeo and Juliet

I watched the movie, “Romeo and Juliet”. I have been known the movie, because it is so famous piece. But, I haven’t watched it to the end yet. I introduce about the story simply and write my impression.

The opening began the scene that Capulet family and Montague family fights hardly. The two parties stood in opposition. Also I also introduce about the main characters. The main characters are Romeo and Juliet. Romeo is an only son. Juliet is an only daughter too. They met at the Capulet family’s party. The party is so gorgeous. In the party, Romeo participated with his friends. And When Romeo sees Juliet, he loves her instantly. Also they are charmed each other. I think their love is beautiful. Pure love is just it I think. They tell love each other straightly. I think it is difficult from Japanese. Romeo expresses love for Juliet over and over. But, they know that we must not love each other. It is very sad. At the time, Romeo’s friends don’t like his actions. Additionally, Romeo thinks that Montague family likely to get along with Caplet family. Romeo’s friends were angry of course. But Caplet family doesn’t want to get along with Montague. They started to fight again. I was so suspended. At the time, sad accident happened. Romeo’s friend died in the fight. Romeo was angry and decided to revenge to Caplet family, but it was found by police and he was banished from the town. I felt sad very much. I thought that Romeo and Juliet will never meet again.

But Juliet and Romeo planed their strategy. The plan advance first, but several misunderstanding call sad ending.

My favorite scene is last scene. It is so sad! Romeo drank the medicine. It is instant dearth, because he thinks Juliet had been dead. But she just sleeps actually. When Juliet likely to wake up and see Romeo, he have dying. The scene is so sad! I can’t forget the scene. I think it is unfair that they can’t love each other.

The movie tells me real love.

Almost people chose “Yes”, but some people chose “So so”.

Also, nobody chose “No”.

I think that music is loved many people.

Second, I asked “How often a week does you listen to the music?” This is the result.

Most supported opinion was “Almost everyday”, but some people listen to music “3~5days a week” or “Seldom”.

We see that music is always near people’s life.

J-POP was most popular type. This is a natural result.

K-POP was second most popular. Now, K-POP is active in Japan. KARA and TVXQ are supported by many people, especially young girls!

Reading class

I major English course now and learning English. In that, I take “Reading” class. In the class, teacher gives us some homework. I introduce about the homework today. It is a part.  

When I was a lad growing up in the United States, I was always fascinated by stories of the country's great folk heroes: Johnny Appleseed rambling across the land dressed in a coffee sack and tin-pan hat, spreading seeds and growing apple trees; Davy Crocket clad in buckskin and a coonskin cap, exploring the frontier forests; Jim Bowie the great knife fighter; and Francis Marion the Swamp Fox and Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys fighting in the war for independence.

 Another favorite story character was Paul Bunyan, the last of the old-style lumberjacks logging in the great northern woods. Paul was said to be nearly 30 meters tall, and stomped around the woods of northern Minnesota accompanied by his faithful companion Babe the giant blue ox. One tale holds that the Great Lakes were dug as watering holes for Babe.

 Unfortunately, the historical evidence indicates that the figure of Paul Bunyan, like that of the Jolly Green Giant, was most likely created as a marketing device in the early 20th century. To a small boy in the 1950s, however, Paul was a great hero, gobbling up stacks of pancakes for breakfast and cutting and hauling immense logs all day long.

It is article of newspaper. I read it and make some questions about the article. It is difficult for me. But it is interesting, because in the class, we solve our questions each other. I think that I want to study English more and more!!

About Amelia Earhart

How are you? I’m fine. I introduce about Amelia Earhart today. Do you know her? She was a famous aviator. She was born in 1897 in Atchison Kansas. In 1922, she received her pilot’s license. in1929, she helped found the “Ninety- Nines”, on international organization of women pilots that still exists. In 1931, she married publisher George Putnam, who helped Amelia in her job as a pilot. The next year, she became the first women to fly across the Atlantic alone; received honors from Hawaii to California. A few years later, she tried to fly around the world but mysteriously disappeared over the Pacific Ocean. I think that she is wonderful person. I wish I want to be a great woman in the future!!

About my class

When I was 1^st grade of KGU, I took America situation. In the class, I studied about American life style, American cities and others. Today, I introduce about my study records.

Jacques Cartier is coming from European explorers. He is coming from those who Europe for the first time Canada reached. To the North American continent the exploration of three degree and found the Prince Edward Island and Saint Lawrence.

 Once exploration row was instruction by the French King Francois Ⅰ. In April 1534, two ships left. The sea was very rough and travel was never an easy. One day rowing boat and was attacked by large tsunami. Ships didn’t sink, but Cartier was surprised fear of nature. Then travel is smoothly and to cross safety Gulf of Saint Lawrence and found Prince Edward Island. And Donnacona , Saint Lawrence regions chief and his two sons captured and have taken in France. Cartier became get along with Donnacona soon. Also, Cartier began a diplomatic with there’s indigenous people. He was immediately welcomed indigenous.

 Second journey started with Donnacona and his sons. They discovered Saint Lawrence River in the middle of the journey. They decided to stay overnight in Saint Lawrence River because they found it was glad. Daytime was swimming in the River and camping at night. Gradually, they got more and more happily. Also bond deepened. They were really talking about various. Though not yet acquainted from long, they likes family. Travel is very fun, but Cartier also decided to return France. Donnacona said “Keep up with you.” But leaving Donnacona and his sons, returned to France alone. But then　Donnacona had the hravy disease. Donnacona had secret it, because Cartier worry about him. Donnacona let desperate cure disease.

How did it? I thought I worked harder in that time. I want to improve about my English ability more!!

I introduce about the book, “Buzz Takes Over”. This book is written about some monsters. The main characters are Buss and Zip. They are looks strange. I think that they are monsters. They were heading home to planet zero. Usually, Zip drives the machine, but he was so tired. So, Zip drives to Buzz, “It’s your turn now”. Buzz surprised of course, because he is a terrible driver. But Zip had slept right away, so Buzz decided to drive the machine. At the time, some trouble happened to Buzz!! It is favorite scene. It is exciting for me! Please check the book.

E02-04: Camp Rock

I watched the movie, “Camp Rock”. I introduce this story on containing introduction main characters. The main character is Mitchie. She is an usual girl. She likes music very much. Also she thought she wants to participate in Camp Rock. This camp is that join many children who love music. Of course, she wants to join it, but she hadn’t enough ability. But she can go “Camp Rock” at the condition that her mother works at there as a cooker. She was so happy to join it.

But, the camp was harder than she expected. In the camp, Shane also joins it as a lecturer. Shane is one of members of Connect 3.The band group is so popular in the movie. Also Shane is handsome boy and he is talented on music. So, Children have appeal to Shane, because they want him to attract. At the time, Shane has heard some song by chance. The voice was so beautiful, so Shane was enslaved by the voice. But he can’t know the voice’s person. After that time, he has been researched it.

Mitchie met several friends. For example, she met Caitlyn and Tess Tyler. Caitlyn is good at piano. Tess Tyler is daughter of TJ Tyler, who is very popular singer. Purposely, Tess asked Mitchie what her parents’ occupation. She answered that her father run tool store and her mother is president of Chinese company. That is lie of course. Everyone in the camp is child of famous parson or popular parson. So Mitchie was stubborn. She felt she does bad thing, but she didn’t talk truth.

This is the movie look like musical. There are several scenes that students sing, dance, play the instruments and so on. I like the scene, because children seem so happy.

Mitchie is ready for “Final Jam”. Final Jam is the final stage for students. Excellent students announce the performance originally. Everyone wants to enter this Jam. Of course Mitchie is too. But it came out that Mitchie had been telling a lie. Other students and Shane were so shocked. Also Mitchie and Caitlyn deal with as criminal of robbery. They protest about it, they can’t participate to Final Jam.

In the Final Jam, students performed greatly. Its performance was so good for me. Some students perform original song, playing the instruments, dancing at will and others. After the performance time, at the judgment, Mitchie performs her song. It was just the song that Shane had been heard before. The scene is so impressive. He thought that the voice is that I have been searching all the way. Lastly, Mitchie and Shane perform an original song. The song is so great! In the scene, I am likely to cry.

When you watch this movie, you feel impress, excitement and pleasure. In fact, “Camp Rock” has continued. I want to watch it!

My precious friend

I introduce about my friend Takako. She is a friend from I was high school student. I introduce her character. Her skin is so beautiful!! I envy her very much. Also she is kimd person. I was helped her over and over. Now, she lives in Kumaoto too. She commutes to Syokei university. In fact, I have many same point with her. I and she work on same part-time job. It is bridal work. When I work at the same bridal holl with her, I become happy. I bame "real" me when I talk with her. I want to been her friend forever!!

Sushi

These days, I went to “Kura-zushi” to eat Sushi with my friend. I like Sushi very much, so I was looking forward to go there for a long time. When we arrived to Kura-Zushi, I readied to Japanese tea. And I readied to chopsticks and plates. And we began to eat Sushi!! I like salmon, because it tastes good for me. At least I ate it 5 J Also I talked my friend on eating it. Talking is more exciting when we eat delicious dishes. Finally, I ate dessert of course. The time was so fun for me. I want to go Sushi shop again!

I introduce about my favorite class. I have two favorite classes. These are “psychology” and “different cultural communication”. At first, I introduce about psychology. In this class, we studied people’s psychology. It is so fun for me, because we often studied by psychological test. We wrote ○ or × on the paper. I like it, because I can understand real me. I introduce about the book, “New Tricks”. In this story, written about some boy. He is Mick. He was terrible at remembering things. At the time, some assistant came. She is The Wonderful Natalie. She had only been helping him for six weeks. But he couldn’t imagine what he would do without her. It is strange. I worried about him. So, he was going to perform at a magician’s show. He practiced hard, so he could do good performance. Finally, he would perform great magic for audience… but the accident happened to him. If you read it, you will know last scene. Please read it!!

My precious people

I introduce about my precious persons today. They are my friend, my brother and my family. They are so precious for me. So, I talk to you about them.

My friend’s name is Sawa. She is 19 years old. She has boyfriend now. She lives in Kumamoto city. She is a university student. She likes playing the game. She also likes reading a book, so I often borrowed some books from her. She is an active girl. I like her, because she is so kind. I often appreciate for her. I want to get along with her forever!!

My brother’s name is Takuya. He is my old brother. He is 22 years old. He is single. He lives in Kumamoto. He is university student. He likes playing the game.

　My family is very merry. My father likes jokes. He usually talks about interesting story. We listen to his talk with smiles. My mother always has a smile on her face, and she is busy taking care of other people. I usually advise her about my school days etc. Also, I have an old brother. He is very amusing. Talking with him is fun. I love my family very much.

I usually think that I can live happily thanks to people around me. I must appreciate for them.

Seiji Ozawa

I introduce about Seiji Ozawa. Do you know him? He is so famous artist. I like him, because he has talented for music very much. I introduce about him simply today. Seiji Ozawa was born in 1935 in Hoten China. In 1952, he hurt in a rugby accident, turned from piano playing to conducting. A few years later, he won Koussevitsky Prize for outstanding student conductor. The next year, he made assistant conductor under Leonard Bernstein of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. From 1965 to 1970, he sieved as conductor of the Boston Symphony. In1973, he was hired as director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra where he stayed until 2002. Now he has continue music activity. I thought I want cheer him up forever!!

I introduce about my keypal friends. First,I introduce about Jacqueline. She is from America. I met her for the homepage of Interpals. I chose her, because she is 19 years old and so am I. She has studied French for 3 years. And she also studied Japanese a few. She seems to like study foreign languages. I asked her about next major holiday in America. She replayed that “The next major holiday in the US is Christmas, and it celebrates the birth of Jesus. But a lot of people who are not Christian celebrate it too, as a holiday” Also, Her winter break is only a month. She has been writing to keypals for 2 years. She has many many keypals, and they are from Korea, China, Japan, France, Tagalog, Singapore and so on. Her favorite singers are Jay chou, Hikaru Utada, YUI, ORANGE RANGE etc. “fa ru xue”, song by Jay chou is her favorite song. Also, she like TVXQ(Korean famous group) and I like them too. Her hobbies are going out with friends, running, and listening to music. Also, she likes rain a lot and getting wet in the rain it makes me feel so energetic. She is not on face book now. She was very friendly and cute girl.

  Second keypal is Nadine from German. I met her at the homepage of InterPals too. The reason why I chose her is she studies Japanese. She has learned Japanese for 2 years now. On weekends she usually recovers from school, and of course she meets my friends. But usually weekends are such short and she has to learn for school too. She will have winter vacation until the 9th January. She thinks she will meet my friends and there will be some celebration with my family because of Christmas. She still goes to school but if she have finished, I'd like to study law. Her hobbies are listening to music, reading books and learning Japanese. But at the moment there is no course because there were not enough people who want to do this course. And now she just repeat the things which I have already learned. But I hope that there will come more people to the next course. Also she knows Sushi. And she have also ate it and I really liked it But she don't know something about Sukiyaki and Takoyaki. Her favorite band is Linkin Park. Also her favorite song is "When they come for me" Her next holiday is going to start next Wednesday and it celebrates Christmas. She is not on Facebook. She was pretty girl.

About Aspirin

I introduce about Aspirin today. I know the medicine in the opportunity some class. After, I am interested in that. I write about history of Aspirin.

Oddly, the man who invented aspirin did not think is was of much worth or would ever widely used. French chemist Charles Gerhardt first concocted it in 1853. He did a few quick tests with the medicine, then put it aside. For the next forty years it remained unknown to the world at large.

Finally, in 1893, a young chemist, Felix Hoffman at the Bayer Drug Company in Germany, rediscovered it.

Felix’s father was suffering from severe arthritis, but none of the known drugs at the time gave him any relief. When Felix happened upon the old French formula for aspirin, he mixed up a batch and gave it to his father. To his astonishment, his father’s pain was greatly relieved.

  Chemists at Bayer soon began mass-producing aspirin. First marketed in 1899 as a loose powder, aspirin quickly became the world’s most prescribed drug. In 1915, the company introduced aspirin in tablet form.

TH02-11: My favorite elementary school memory

I introduce about my favorite elementary school memory. It is just “Changing school”! I changed twice in 6 years of elementary school. First, since I was 1^st grade. I was living in Sendai city, but I have gone to Koshiki Island with my mother and my brother. The reason of change school is my mother’s transfer. My mother is elementary school teacher. My mother decided to take us. At first, I confuse, because I thought I can’t make friends in new place. Since I was 2^nd grade, I have commuted to Nakatsu elementary school. In that, there were many students more than before it. So, I was surprised to it, but some friend talked me. It was so happy. So, I can make many friends!! Elementary school’s memories were so great for me.

Second, I changes school again since I was 6^th grade of elementary school. The reason of it was my mother’s transfer too.

Beginning of The Third Man

I introduce about beginning of “The Third Man”. In the first, it is begin to the narration of voice. The narration talks about reality of Vienna. People had run anything, if they wanted it enough, and had the money to pay. A situation like that does tempt amateurs. But, they can’t stay the course like a professional. In the age, similar signs are erected at the entrance to the 3 countries zone. It is the British, Russian and French. Also the city divided into four zones, each occupied by a power. It is the American, the British, the Russian and the French. But the center of the city is polite by an international patrol. An American and Russian officer salutes as they face each other. Also they are protecting their respective zones. It is great spectacle, but they can’t speak the same language, expect a sort of a smattering of German. A mix of M.P.s from the four forces drives off on inspection. On the whole, they did their best, you know. Vienna also doesn’t really look any worse than a lot of other European cities. But buildings lay in ruins from bomb raids during the war.

It begins to the way here to visit a friend of his. The name was Harry Lime. In fact, Lime had offered him some sort. Martins is really poor chap and happy as a lark.
In the station, a train pulls into the station and Holly Martins gets off the train.
Martins arrived at Lime’s flat and he saw a porter sings in German in the banisters of the floor. In there, martins heard that Lime had knocked over by a car by a porter. Martins got angry when heard it. And he did not want to believe it, he said, “some petty racket with petrol or something?” And he doubt that Calloway is policeman. They likely to fight, so Calloway also said, “Martins is only a scribbler” Certainly, Martins is too drunk. Also he is angry and said, “You’re not going to close your file at a dead man’s expense. When I finished with you, you’ll leave Vienna, you’ll look so silly”. So, Calloway left there.
Martins will ready a room to rest for tonight and he will be off tomorrow. A porter, Hartman said, “I can’t very well introduce you to everybody”. On the other hand, a man, Paine told a sergeant, Crabbin that Martins is great author. When Crabbin heard Paine’s information, he said to Martins, “I am Cultural Re-education Section of G.H.Q. It is propaganda. It is important in the place.” He also said we did a little show the week before. And this is the first opportunity we’ve had of making an American author welcome. Crabbin suggested that he want Martins to lecture on the contemporary novel. And he also suggested that Martins will stay here for as long as you care to stay.
At the time, Crabbin saw Martins hold the handkerchief to his mouth. Crabbin worried about him and said “Goodness, we must report that to the police”. But, Martins said, “No thank you, because I was trying to punch major in the eye”. Crabbin surprised to hear of course.
Martins met a man, Kurtz. He is one of Lime’s friends. Martins was angry, because police have a crazy notion that Lime was mixed up in some sort of a racket. Kurtz also said, “Everyone in Vienna is. I tell you, I have done things that would have seemed unthinkable before the war. When I was hard up, I sold some tires on the black market”. And Martins promise to Kurtz. It is that Kurtz gives some advice to Martins.
They went to accident place. Martins heard progress of the accident by Kurtz. But Martins noticed that testimonies are different. He wondered people’s testimony. Also he heard that there was a parson concerned at the funeral. It is girl of the Josefstadt Theater.
Also Martins likely to search for detail, but Kurtz said, “What’s the good of another postmortem? Suppose you dig up something, discreditable to Harry?” Its’ utterance is so strange.
Martins went to theater to meet a girl, Anna. He asked about Lime, but Anna doesn’t want to talk about it. He more and more thought it is strange. He decided to he will search for Lime’s real truth.

Best hit song show

Today, there was “Best hit song show” on TV. The casters were Seiji Miyane, Maki Nishiyama and Eiji Uentsu. I was looking forward to watch it, because several artists will appear. The artists were EXILE, Kana Nishino, AKB48, NMB48, Kinki Kids and others. In that, I was looking forward to listen to the song of “AKB48”. Also, their costume was so cute!! They sang Flying get, Kaze-ha-fuiteiru” and “Everyday, Kachusya”. I thought that I wanted to watch them directly.

Also, NMB48, sister group of AKB48 sung. They are also cute girls. The TV show was so good. Song shows will be broadcast after this. I check it!!

These days, I went to shopping with my friend. We went to Shimotori and Kmitori. These places are urban. So, it’s are proper to go shopping. The purpose of it was buying new clothes. I couldn’t buy clothes for a long time. In fact, I wanted to go “g.u.” Do you know the shop? Its’ concept is “cheap”. In fact, the clothes are so cheap. And design is cute!! I liked it immediately. Also the shop’s image character is Atsuko Maeda, member of AKB48. I knew the shop on CM. In there, I bought several items. I thought I love it. I want to go there again.

I introduce about the book, “Stories of Pirates”. Do you know “Pirate”? In Japanese, it means “Kaizoku”. Do you think that Pirates are scarily? But, in this book, the man character, Charlie is stupid boy. He is so funny I think. He commuted to Pirate School to be great pirate. And he is going to real pirate. He afforded harder. For example, he knew how to read a treasure map, unlock a chest, and do lots of other Piratey things. He became pirate, but some accident came to him. It is interesting. Please read it!

Shopping

Today, I want to go to shopping with my mother. My mother came to Kumamoto yesterday, because last week, there was my birthday. Today, in the afternoon, we went to Shimotori by bus. My mother bought me many things. For example, clothes, shoes and others. Today, my mother was kind especiallyJ. I thought I must to appreciate to mother. I also thought that I must serve my parents so much. Also, we went to café to rest. At then, we talked about several things each other. It was comfortable time. After the time, mother returned to Kagoshima. Today was so good day.

My favorite idol group

Today, I introduce about my favorite idol group. This is “Not yet”. Members of this group were collected by AKB48’s member. The members are Yuko Oshima, Rino Sashihara, Rie Kitahara and Yui Yokoyama. I like these all members, because they are so cute and have a humor. For example, Rino Sashihara called “Hetare” by her fans. Also, Rie Kitahara has funny performance. It is simple, but I think it is interesting, because idol perform it.
Especially, I like Yuko Oshima. She is the oldest member of this group. She is like a leader. Her dance performance is so great for me.
This month, new single CD of this group was released. The title is so strange. It is “Perapera-perao”. It is interesting title, isn’t it? But song and dance of this single is so cute!! I want you to listen it.

TH02-10: My favorite drink

My favorite drink is C.C. lemon and Honey lemon. I introduce about these drink. At first, I introduce about C.C. lemon. C.C. lemon is carbonic acid drink. There are many carbonic acid drinks, but I like it, because it tastes moderate. For example, Coca-Cola is too sharp for me. Also, I like its lemon’s flavor. I think that affinity of lemon and carbonic acid is so good.

Second, I introduce about Honey lemon. This drink has sold long time years ago. But, releasing was stopped in some reason. After many years later, it decides to release again. I never drink this. I drank it as soon as it release at convenient store. I was so surprise to tasting when I drink it. At then, I often drink it. You know, my favorite drinks are both “Lemon taste”. But, I dislike fruit

Crystal Garden

I sometime go to Crystal Garden to part-time job. There is in Yatsushiro. I introduce about this place. Crystal Garden has wedding chapel and big hall. In the chapel, there is “Jinzen-shiki”. This is the place that bridegroom and bride swear the marriage. I support to this. For example, when bridegroom and bride enter the chapel, I open the door at the same time. It is difficult. Tasks are fun, but very important things. So, it is hard work for me to doing these tasks. But, I can see the smile of bridegroom and bride. It is so happy for me. When I see smile of them, I think that I must to fight hardly. Also, I serve several dishes to customers. These dishes are for the banquet. It seems to so delicious!! I always wanted to eat it. Also, I take some drinks; take chair service and others to customers.

Now, I go to ceremony hall as part-time job. But, I want to go there as customer sometimeJ. For example, my friend’s wedding ceremony!!

I introduce about this book. Do you know this book? This book is so popular in all over the world. In Japan, it called “Akazukin-chan”. I have read this book since I was little child. I like this story, because illustration is so cute and story is interesting for me.

The main character is a little girl. She decided to go her grandmother’s house by herself. But, wolf likely to hunt her. I like the scene, because it is thrill. Also, in this story, there are several funny scenes. For example, she treads wolf’s body parts. The scene is interesting for me. Please read it.
